Meet the Board
I am born and raised in NY and my parents are from Peru and Puerto Rico. My family and I moved to Floral Park three and a half years ago and love it! I am the Director of Patient Services at NY Presbyterian Hospital and my husband owns a gym in Flushing, Queens. We have three children ages 14, 7 and 5. I joined the PTA because in the same manner that I advocate for my patients on a daily basis, I want to partner with Administration to advocate for all FPBS children and offer ideas to create a respectful, inclusive and engaging school environment. Floral Park is a great place to live and with your help, we can make this a memorable school year.
Stay safe and thank you for trusting us to serve as your PTA board. I look forward to working with you all.
I am originally from Sea Cliff but has lived in Floral Park for the last 15 years. I have two sons, Cristian, a seventh grader at Floral Park Memorial an Jackson, a second grader at Floral Park Bellerose school. I graduated St. John’s Business school with an MBA in 2012. I work for a US flag shipping company based out of Lake Success as a Senior Trade Manager, responsible for managing the vessels’ sailings and port calls throughout the world. I loves the Fall, scary movies and on the weekends watching her kids play in the various sports around town. This year, along with the PTA board, I hope to bring back as much of a sense of normalcy to our children’s school experience as possible and enrich the district’s curriculum of kindness and respect for all.
Hi everyone! I am so happy to be serving as Second Vice President of the PTA this year. I am a College Professor in the Bronx and I grew up in Floral Park. After many years away, I returned to FP in 2008 with my husband and our one year old daughter, Ainsley. Fast forward 14 years and Ainsley is now a freshman at FPM and our twin daughters are in 6th grade. While it's bittersweet to think that this is my last year at Floral Park Bellerose, I am excited to help make this a wonderful year for everyone.
I was raised in Floral Park and returned two years ago to raise my family here. I have two sons, Jude and Noah, and two cats. Jude is a first-grader, and Noah will be an FPBS'er in a few years! After many years of practice as a public defender in Brooklyn, I am now the Director of Training responsible for training and supervising new lawyers. As a first-time PTA member, I am looking forward to working with the FPBS community this year and for years to come. Here is to a fantastic school year!
Hi Everyone! I’m Melissa, a Queens native turned Long Islander, wife to Anthony, & mom to Ava 7, Mia 5, & Anthony Jr 3. This is my first year on our PTA Board. Before becoming a stay at home mom, I attended Queens College and worked for a Durable Medical Equipment provider. I also have experience working in After School programs and running children’s birthday parties. We have a wonderful school with dedicated teachers and volunteers and I am looking forward to helping make this a fun and memorable year.
